Grant Wood Prints and Display Poster for Sale at the Library

"New Road" are available for purchase at the Solon Public Library.


GW Prints for sale

“New Road” belongs to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.  It was gifted to them by
Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Strasburger in 1982.  The painting is one of only two Grant Wood works owned
by the National Gallery.  Permission was granted to reproduce this painting for fund-raising purposes.
The oil painting, created in 1939, depicts a pastoral scene about five miles west of Solon.
In the foreground is a simple wooden marker which reads "SOLON 5 MI".

The Friends of the Solon Public Library is proud to present "Of Time and Place"
-- a limited edition commemorative poster featuring photographs of
eighteen of local artist Antonia (Toni) Russo's window displays at the
Solon Public Library.  Nationally renowned photographer Robert Campagna
has photographed each of Toni's windows, and has designed this beautiful
22" x 28" poster in full vibrant color, suitable for framing. 

Mr. Campagna has generously donated his time in the design of the
poster and all profits from the sales are going to the Friends of
the Solon Public Library to benefit library programs, purchase new
materials for the library, and to help fund future window displays.


We also offer bulk discounts for large orders.
