A series of informational programs sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association is being offered once a month from March through June.  They will provide information to help families recognize the early stages of Alzheimer's, as well as information on the progressive stages, treatments, and how to better connect and communicate with those experiencing dementia.

These sessions will be held in the Solon Public Library meeting room on the following dates  (please note that the time has been changed from a previously posted hour):
-  March 14 at 5:00 PM – Know the 10 Signs: the difference between normal aging and Alzheimer’s
-  April 11 at 5:00 PM – The basics:  detection, causes, risk factors, stages and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease
-  May 9th at 5:00 PM – Effective Communication Strategies:  learn how to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia
-  June 13 at 5:00 PM – Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors

In addition, we have a collection of materials on Alzheimer's available for check out.
